The Paladin is a unique class that appears in the game Busin 0: Wizardry Alternative Neo for the Playstation 2. It is an upgrade to the Knight class of Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land. Because of the special requirements to become a Paladin, a member of this class cannot be recruited (or a character cannot change into one) until the game has been completed at least once.
Class Description Edit
The Paladin is in many terms a severely boosted Knight, capable of using the same weapons a Fighter would use and capable of learning spells from the Priest class up to the sixth level. As well, it is capable of Dispelling undead enemies as a Priest does. However, the Paladin acquires a set of extra abilities which distances it from the Knight.
First, the Paladin becomes capable of using spells from the Sorcerer class up to the sixth level, thus granting the Paladin a spellcasting ability similar, if not improved, to the Bishop, Thief, Ninja and similar classes. Second, the Paladin automatically improves the defensive ability of any equipment by 20%, which means that by every 10 points of Defense provided by the piece of equipment, the armor will provide an extra two when equipped by this character. Finally, the class provides a healing aura which allows restoration of Hit Points as time passes, with the amount of Hit Points healed equal to one-third of the Paladin's level.
Class requirements Edit
To become a Paladin, first it must be unlocked by the player. The character must seek the pieces of Paladin equipment, which are scattered amongst the game. Some of these are located at the bonus dungeon of the game, which effectively requires the player to complete the game at least once before attempting such. The main character of the player should be a Knight before the class can be unlocked; afterwards, the player should direct the party to a specific place in the dungeon (the floor B9) and offer the full set of equipment to the statues of Good and Evil before the class can be accessed on the Training Guild located on the Town of Duhan (the starting place of the game).
