A chest fitted out with a crossbow bolt is one of the more deadly lower-level traps found in the easier levels of a maze. If triggered, it can hit any one of the characters in the party, usually resulting in their immediate death! Typically this trap will do 50-100 points of damage, which is more than enough to kill characters who may find it on levels 2 and 3 of the dungeon. This trap may occur also in a maze's more serious levels, doing even more damage when it is triggered.
